Keith Tulloch Wines
Keith is a 4th generation family winemaker in the Hunter Valley. His great-grandfather J.Y.Tulloch began winemaking in Pokolbin in 1896, thereby making the Tulloch family one of only a handful in Australia who can claim to have wine history spanning three centuries.
By the 1960's, with 25 family shareholders, the Tulloch family owned the greatest vineyard area of any family in the Hunter, and the Tulloch Private Bin Dry Red was the most recognised Hunter Valley wine in the Sydney wine marketplace. In 1969, after the death of Keith's grandfather James, the Tulloch wine business was sold.
This independent family wine heritage was not lost, as Keith's father Harry Tulloch developed his own Estate at Mount View, in the southern reaches of the Pokolbin district. The Estate provided Keith's grounding in viticulture and winemaking. Keith is renowned for his meticulous attention to detail and expertise in small batch winemaking.

"I cannot remember being more impressed with an initial release of wines than those under the Keith Tulloch label. There is the same almost obsessive attention to detail, the same almost ascetic intellectual approach, the same refusal to accept anything but the best."
- James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion.
"The Tullochs have been one of the Hunter's most important families for more than a century. Keith Tulloch worked as a winemaker for Lindemans and Rothbury before establishing his own boutique winery in 1997. Since then, painstaking attention to detail and intellectual rigour have enabled him to produce highly individual wines of the finest quality."
- Oz Clarke, Australian Wine Companion.
